The Kidderminster & District Branch of the RSPCA is run by a small but enthusiastic committee which tries its best to carry out the objectives of the Society i.e. to prevent cruelty to and promote kindness to all animals (and that includes birds!). Re-homing unwanted dogs and cats Re-homing unwanted dogs and cats (not to mention rabbits and guinea pigs) into new loving homes is a major and important part of this work and there must be many animals in the district who have been successfully placed with new owners over the years. Await New Homes The animals have to be boarded while they await new homes. Then, before they are handed over, after a satisfactory homecheck, they are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped in line with RSPCA Policy. Adoption Fee All this costs money, however, which is why new owners are asked to pay an adoption fee as sadly the need for work remains ongoing. Even so the adoption fee only partly covers the costs involved so it is essential that extra income is found from fundraising efforts and donations to enable the work too continue and the Branch to survive. New Members National membership costs just £17.50 p.a. (£25.00 for joint membership) and automatically brings with it local membership. Membership for children under 13 Animals Action Club Membership for children under 13 costs just £11.00 per annum
Membership for 13 - 17 year olds Join claw - Campaign link for animal welfare to help the RSPCA work to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to all animals. £10 per annum.
Equally welcome are cash donations of any size!
The RSPCA receives no government support so
the majority of the income has to be raised from within the Branch
area.
